LOSS OF SIGNAL MID MORNING SPRING AUTUMN
It’s the time of year again when you can lose your satellite signals for a few minutes mid morning I mention it each year but still YOU ring up saying my BBC has gone off
Don’t panic – it is the spring autumn sun outage and is very normal this time of year.
The solar outages occur when the sun is directly behind the satellite and the suns energy swamps the signal with interference.
This can last around 10 to 15 minutes at a time between 10.00am to 11.am and it goes on for about 15 days this usually happens during February / March – then between September / October – around the time of the spring and autumn equinoxes.
